off to a good start

training was gwd!
fresh eyes on everything after such a long break meant that some fear had fallen away around a few movements. Nothing was considerably worse or harder than early January...everything was fun..this is all good!I did little trials of some wall runs, a few vaults, some balancing etc with the frame of mind; try it, decide how much strain it causes, pick a number of repititions to do and 1 simple aim e.g little quicker, or increase the speed of the run up and so, then do it, move on, and forget about it.

My aims now are to keep 'visiting the playground' so to speak!. As always the focus is also to be strong: keeping a resilient character, a lively spirit, a committed body and focused intent in all movements.

You're no stranger to the holistic approach, so I think you could have been reasonably certain that you had a net gain from your recent experiences, even without that training session. As you said not that long ago, personal perspective matters. I reckon that if you think that you have learned, if you think you are better off now, then that means that you have and you are.

As an interlude, I did like your thoughts on finding real life in places where you have to make the movement and changes yourself. Do you think it seems this way because we feel a greater connection to the things we create ourselves, or simply because without other distractions these situations allow us to see clearly both ourselves and how we interact with the world (which is the essence of experience)?

Finally, it's good to hear that things are looking up on the physical front. If the smile at the end of the post is any indication of your feelings at the end of your recent training session, things look rosy all round.
